Dr. Elizabeth Nyang, Ed.D., M.A.,
My name is Dr. Elizabeth Nyang. I have a masters degree in counseling from Seaton Hall University and a doctorate
degree in counseling education from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. I work with clients
that have issues with addictions and/or mental health (adults and adolescents). I accept clients in need of treatment for
alcohol and drugs and work with them in a special program that includes group and individual counseling to help them build
a plan to get in and stay in recovery.
Additionally, many of my clients come to get help with depression, anxiety, problems at
work, problems within the family, mood disorders, relationships, and problems with adjustment. I use a cognitive behavioral
approach and Gestalt techniques to help clients gain insight into the root causes of their problems. Clients that are willing
can learn how to use meditation techniques to relax and reduce stress.
My Silver Spring office is located 2 blocks from the Silver Spring Metro and
is handicap accessible. There is a county parking lot around the corner from the building near the intersection of Georgia
Avenue and Cameron streets with metered parking spaces. The building has an elevator and you will be welcomed my friendly
administrative assistant when you enter the office suite.
My Rockville office on Research Court has free parking in front of the building.
This building is also handicap accessible and has an elevator. When you enter the office suite you will be welcomed by friendly
front desk staff. In addition to daytime hours, I also offer evening hours and I am open on Saturdays in Silver Spring.
